Backing up notes

Hi,

I would like to know how to back up my notes and files. What happen is I had the old logos program and lost all my notes on an old computer (repair guy rebooted the computer). So if I had to get a new computer how could I save my notes to download later on a new computer?

Welcome to the forums Aldon!

Unlike Libronix, Logos4 and Logos5 back up all your notes automatically to the cloud. Also the notes are in a unique database, making a personal backup restore difficult. It is possible, but requires backing up parts of the Logos4/Logos5 directory system, and can get a bit technical. If you want an explanation of how to do that feel free to ask.

That is correct assuming you allow Logos to synchronise (you can control this using the "Use Internet" setting)

Yes, as long as you keep the "use internet" setting to yes.

Aldon - If you are thinking about getting a new computer, for your "peace of mind," it might be helpful to keep the old computer up and running until you get the new one set up. [:)]

Sorry I'm adding one more post -- I know you'd probably like to move on -- however, when the time comes that you do change (or add a new computer), you can do so without the time and expense of downloading all your resources and then indexing by using some ideas from the Logos Wiki -- for example:

Have offline storage on Amazon S3 - very inexpensive. Use Cloudberry Explorer
as interface to S3. Have a sync folder set up for my Logos Docs so it
will sync from PC to S3 (runs like a macro). Very easy and fast.
