I've in the past obtained the NLT as a paid add-on for another otherwise free Bible software program. It has been downloaded straight from the software company's website (and confirmed last week as still the same, via a fresh download). However, it has capitalisation for pronouns of God (e.g. ...and He restored..., with Lord being fully capitalised as LORD also in places) in the 2007 version of the NLT, while the Logos version doesn't.
The rep. for the other software company said that they passed on what was sent to them directly by the publisher of the NLT, and they have no other information than that. I'm curious as to why the same Bible version and edition has capilatisation from one source but not from another. It's definitely not the 1996 version, or the 2004 update, as the official update table confirms that the examples below all belong to the 2007 version, which are consistent with the Logos, non-capitalised, version (see the entry for Luke 7:21 in the table).
I assume that the non-capitalised version is the correct official one, as this is what I see in printed Bibles also. Yet, it is strange that a capitalised version should come from the publisher too. (I realise that capitalisation is not very common in English Bible translations, but that it is not so rare in devotional writings.)
Just curious. Does anyone have any light to shed on this?
