The Greek keyboard for Logos 5 requires different keystrokes in Windows 8 than in Windows 7. Is that a glitch? Is there a fix? Do you have a new guide for the key strokes?
I'm using Logos 5 on Windows 8 in Word 2010 on my new laptop. I'm also using Logos 5 on Windows 7 in Microsoft Works on my three-year-old laptop.
I upgraded Logos 4 to Logos 5 with the basic Crossgrade.
1. I upgraded it in my Acer Windows 7 laptop. In that laptop I have been using a Logos Transliteration Keyboard with SBL Greek Font for 7 months. This computer uses a simple text document program (MIcrosoft Works Word Processor). It has worked fine for my academic needs. With the upgrade, the transliteration keyboard is the same -- I have not noticed any differences.
2. I have a new ASUS Q200E Netbook with Windows 8 and Microsoft Office 2010. I downloaded Logos 4, upgraded it to Logos 5, downloaded the SBL font, installed the transliteration keyboard, went into my control panel to change my options. The keyboard works as expected. I can toggle back and forth with the left 'alt' and 'shift' keys.
I have been using the keyboard successfully for a week -- with one restriction. The ASUS keys do not type the same Greek symbols as my older ACER. For example, the 'w' on my ASUS is an omega but on my ACER it is a final sigma. Accent marks and breathing marks are bewildering. I still cannot find the circumflex accent on my ASUS laptop in the SBL transliteration keyboard.
