Hi everyone,
I was wondering if Logos 5 has voice recognition built in? Or does anyone know of ANY Bible software that does? TIA..
Timothy
please clarify whay you mean by "voice recogition", it means different things to different people, what are you hoping to have? Most OS's have STT and TTS built in these days.
Logos will read aloud text from most resources, other users have reccommended Thunder for VI users http://www.screenreader.net/index.php?pageid=11 in past, BUT I havent heard much about this functionality lately, I know it worked acceptably in Logos 3, but the software has had a total rewrite since then.
..bible software whereby you can say "Luke 8:15", for example, and the program goes to that verse.
I don't care whether or not a verse can be read out loud by the software; just that it can "recognize" my "voice", when i speak out a verse, and Logos go to it (or any other bible software out there).
Voice recognition is not built into Logos 5. But some of the accessibility tools may add the feature.
Oh well, at least now i know. I did find one Bible program, called Voicebible, which has it, but it's so inaccurate, that's it's hardly worth the time. Thanks anyway. Peace..
If you are using a mac with Mountain Lion, then Siri is built in to the OS ... it seems to be quite good for basic dictation etc. ... not sure about composing a search though or voice controlled navigation )you have have the caret in a text box for Siri to return the text to you)
Forgot to mention i'm using Windows 7 (which has some VR stock, yet it can't be used to call up a particular verse 'within' Logos 5). Thanks anyway - good for those who DO have the Mac though.
