Paul - How full is your hard drive? I notice a "malformed database," but I don't know which one. You will need to enable logging and post a new log here.

Press and hold command key immediately upon startup.
Allow Logos to crash.
Grab the logos.log BEFORE you restart the app again (otherwise your log might be rewritten and useless).
The log will be in your USER library (Library/Application Support/Logos4/Logging)

I saw this in your log:

System.InvalidOperationException: Invalid database: /Users/apple/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/l6ojjnvq.r57/UserPreferences/PreferencesManager.db

"Malformed" or "Invalid" database usually indicates that one of our databases (.db) has been damaged somehow or is incomplete. Since the log gives us the file location, I would probably attempt to rebuild that database:

Open Finder.
Click on the "Go" Menu, then "Go to Folder".
Enter the path: ~/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/l6ojjnvq.r57/
Rename the "UserPreferences" folder to "UserPreferences1".
Retry Logos.

This should regenerate the database automatically. There may be some data-loss, but this database probably doesn't contain anything too critical to you. Some of your window sizes may reset, for example. If this fixes the problem, we can remove "UserPreferences1". It might be beneficial, toward future prevention, if you could zip/archive that folder first, and attach it to this thread for further examination.

If this doesn't help, please include a new log and we'll look into it further.
