Logos 4 NOT pulling up my resources.

I downloaded Logos 4 to my laptop, (windows 8) (Primary home is desktop-XP). I upgraded the laptop to 8 in anticipation of going to Logos 5....but...

For some reason, Logos 4 is now NOT recognizing my extensive resources at all. They are there when I run Libronix 3, but...LOGOS 4 is not showing them...on either the desktop or laptop.

HOW do I get LOGOS 4 to pull them into its "Library" (where they were previously)? I cannot find "simple" instructions on the website.

and...another thought in my frustration. It really stinks when you "try" to use the forums and support logs and pull up the info for Logos 4 and it NOW talks about Logos 5. Come on people...its like in your "selling frenzy" Logos 4 is no longer mentioned. I've upgraded packages now THREE times and I'm getting tired of the "upgrade, upgrade, upgrade" chant. What the heck good is this system as when you try to keep it current...its no longer actually useable?

Exactly how did you download Logos4 to the laptop?
For how long did Logos4 work OK on the laptop (showing resources, searching, etc)
When did the desktop stop showing resources e.g. at the same time as the laptop?

Please note that Libronix 3 is independent of Logos 4, so it will not be affected by what is happening, nor will it be the cause.
