I received a download notification of 49 MB for my laptop's stable installation of 5.0a, and the size made me immediately suspicious. I let it download and saw that it was indeed a download of 5.0b Beta 3.

I deleted the relevant Installers folder which prevented the update and I no longer get the download notification.
Earlier, I had tried to move my desktop beta installation to another user account and ended up trying to update 5.0a to Beta 3. No matter what I tried it would not update. So I updated the laptop's beta installation to Beta 3 and used the msi file to update the desktop!
