Logos 5 Upgrades

I've just received an email offering me a discount on Logos 5 upgrades. I have already upgraded to Logos 5 Starter edition and am now being offered discounts on upgrades to higher editions. However, when I have checked the books/resources included in these upgrades I already have may of them in my library. I thought that the upgrades were being offered on the basis that you only pay for new resources, this appears not to be the case. Someone who just looks at the items shown as "New to Logos 5" or "New to You" on the package upgrade comparison pages could be paying for many items that they already own, therefore receiving very little benefit for a significant outlay.

The Logos 5 upgrade page => http://www.logos.com/upgrade shows "New to You" for a collection/series if one or more volume(s) would be new. If hover mouse over resource title on upgrade page, a pop-up shows how many resource(s) in a collection/series are already owned. The dynamic upgrade price is calculated for resources that are not (yet) licensed. This is how it is supposed to work - and I believe it does

Someone who just looks at the items shown as "New to Logos 5" or "New to You" on the package upgrade comparison pages could be paying for many items that they already own, therefore receiving very little benefit for a significant outlay.

If they don't look at things that are shown as "New to xxx" they might think they are getting things which they already have but the price they pay will be adjusted to take that into account.

In the screenshot below (from the upgrade page) you will see that the fact I own most of a collection is noted

and that this is factored into the price

Don't know what I did last time I checked but have looked again on a different computer and now can't find any books that it is showing as new to you that I already own. Can I remove my original post?

Probably not - there is a delete option (as outlined at http://wiki.logos.com/Using_the_Forum#Editing_or_deleting_posts) but normally good just for a few minutes.

You could edit it (there is a longer window for this) and modify your post but then the subsequent discussion may not be meaningful to people who happen come across it!

I don't see any problems in leaving it as is.
