No translating when I hover my mouse

Hello,

I purchased the bronze pack in Logos 5 just after Christmas. I then purchased the German Bible Society Bundle: Student Edition for it's original language stuff. I have noticed that when I'm using UBS4 and hover the mouse over a word there is no parsing information down the bottom. In fact there is no information at all down the bottom. The NA27 parses words, but doesn't give a translation.

It was suggested that I rebuild the index, but after doing this there was no change.

Is there any way I can use these texts (UBS4, etc) where the parsing information and the translation is given?

Do you mean at the bottom of the screen? If so, then no. Nothing comes up anywhere.

When I right click on a word only selection and reference come up. There is no morph, root, lemma or louw-nida like in other bibles.

Is there anything I can do?

What happens when you hover? over a word? Look in the bottom left-hand side of your screen and you should see the parsing information, and the translation (as your preferred or most appropriate lexicon would have it.

Which UBS4 are you using? The Greek New Testament, Fourth Revised Edition (with Morphology), The Greek New Testament, Fourth Edition (Interlinear with Morphology), or The Swanson New Testament Greek Morphology (UBS 4th Edition)?

The NA27 with apparatus (from the SESB) does not have morphology so it doesn't display parsing info or definitions. Are you sure that this is not the book you are referencing?

If you hover over the book tab what title does it display?

I'm using The Greek New Testament, Fourth Revised Edition. It doesn't say morphology in the title. I assumed it would have done it. I purchased it in the German Bible Society Bundle: Student Edition assuming that all texts would give morphology information. So I'm guessing this isn't true?

I've had a quick look on the logos website and I can't find any Greek New Testament (4th ed) with morphology. Is that right?

I purchased the NA27 in the German Bible Society Bundle: Student Edition.

The title is Nestle-Aland Novum Testamentum Graece XXV11/ NA27 w/Apparatus.

The NA27 gives some information. Just not as much as others do (SBL). It doesn't give the root or the louw-nida. And it doesn't provide a translation when I hover my mouse.

It looks this particular resource does not have additional information that would produce the morphological information or the Louw-Nida translation. I would call up our product specialists at 800-874-6467, and ask them which Greet New Testament comes with the Louw-Nida. In the meantime, you can promote the BDAG as your highest prioritized lexicon, and if you pull up the Information panel you will get lexical information when hovering or clicking on words in the The Greek New Testament, Fourth Revised Edition (with apparatus). Obviously the word you hover/click on will have to be in the BDAG in order for the information panel to populate information.

Noticed NA28 has morphological tagging and Louw-Nida numbers.

Nice work on the Wiki, KS4J! Extensive discussion, references to previous threads, etc. 'Discourse' is probably one area where many will want to learn more about it.

Regarding the german Bible package, I hadn't looked at them closely, since I already had SESB. But ironically, in my NT layout, it's the two SESB's without morph tags that I have displayed (since both contain the apparatus, which I view as far more significant). I guess the reason is my Logos is so heavily populated with interlinears. These latter beauties don't require mouseovers, and in Libronix, allow major chunks of morph-tag copying where needed.
