Please Logos, this forum software is really clumsy, more like Pradis than Libronix [clears throat].
It does not reflect the commitment by Logos to a smooth user interface, nor easy/quick/relevant searching. This software looks like it's the same as the forum software at Dell, which is very cumbersome and impossible to search -- well you can search it, but you can't find what's most relevant to your search without wading through a mire of irrelevancy. Searching these forums isn't any better, but they've only been up for about 3 months. If my experience on the Dell forums is any indication, searching these forums will produce worse results as content increases.
As it is, even now, it's easier and quicker to search these forums from Google than using the forum software's search feature. Which is cool if you have the Google toolbar, and can click the "Search This Site" button. But as a software company, can you rely on users having that capability, or to consider that somewhat creative strategy?
If we must move to a forum (and I still lament that move), at least make it a good one. As a couple of examples of better forum software, I think of forums.mozillazine.org, which is really nice. Even the one at SSPlash.com (SongShow Plus) is better than this one (though I like the one at Mozilla better).
I've tried to make this work, but I'm sure I my participation here will fade as my frustration with this forum software overcomes my interest/enjoyment in participating in the Logos community. In fact, it already has. (Of course, part of that has to do with your almost complete lack of response to off-topic posts [Judges 17:6] -- but that should be a separate suggestion.)
