considering upgrading from ipad 2
I would like feedback regarding the performance of the Logos app on some of the newer iPads. I am considering either the ipad 4 or the ipad mini. Positives and negatives?

First, I would wait until March to see what new iPads are released. Even if you end up with a current model, you will pick it up cheaper. [;)] Second, I would not consider the mini unless the portability is the selling feature. I have a 3rd Gen iPad, and the retina display is well worth upgrading. To answer your question as best as I can… I did not have a second gen iPad, but I did have a first gen. The "snappiness" is much better… although "performance" is based on both the hardware AND software, along with internet connection.
Are there some specific functions you want to know about?

Thanks for the input. Here is what I do most often (when working with Logos). I used either Pages for Ipad or Omnioutliner to prepare sermons/Bible Studies. So I am switching back and forth very often.

I have found multi-tasking much better on my 3rd gen than from my 1st gen. I would not be able to tell you about moving from the 2nd to the 4th… although the 3rd to the 4th was really a "bump." Again, I would really stick it out until March and look to get the 5th Gen. Then you can come back and brag to me. [:)]

Thank you alabama24. On a different note how do you find the performance of the new L5?

I think most Mac users would say that the performance is better than L4… but performance has been getting better incrementally for a while. I don't know from first hand experience, but other users seem to find the best performance increase when moving to an SSD hard drive. I really would like to hear from someone who has moved from an HDD to one of Apple's new fusion drives. I am reluctant to move to an SDD because of the smallness of the drives and the great cost.

I had two 120 GB hard drives on my HP laptop. I recently replaced the C drive with a SSD. My HP laptop is better than new. I have 7,000 resources, and indexing and searches are almost instantious.
