Smart Tags / Actions not working properly in Microsoft Office 2010 & Hyperlink warning not removed

This post is a request for a work around or fix for TWO problems:

Smart Tags / "Actions" Not Working properly-- I've enabled Logos 'actions' in Microsoft Word 2010 as per the Logos wiki page on Smart Tags. A bible reference is not recognized within my custom Heading Style 1-9 that I use for outlining. Smart Tags worked fine in Word 2007 with the same document and the same Styles. It appears to work properly for all other styles. Is there something I need to do differently with the Styles in Word 2010? The smart tag feature is vital for me as I lecture and need a quick link to the passage.
Hyperlink warning "Microsoft Office has identified a potential security concern" won't disable--I've gone through the steps in the link provided in the Logos Wiki on hyperlinks. I suspect it has to do with the method Logos employs in their hyperlinks. Perhaps there is a work around with adding the proper location to 'trusted locations'? I've added the Logos 4 location on my computer but still doesn't stop.

Please help.

Would it be possible for you to test if turning off trusted locations in ms word solves the problem?

I understand if this is not an option.

Re: Smart Tags/Actions-- upon further experimentation, I've found that a citation can be recognized within my custom headings if I, say, add an extra space after the reference and the grammar correction underlining shows up (because of a double space between words or some other grammatical error is created by some other means) and behold the "Additional Actions" option shows up with a right click. But its only when the grammar correction underlining shows up.

This makes me wonder if its a scanning issue. With Word 2007 it was possible to remove and rescan Smart Tags. I don't see a way to do this in Word 2010.

1. As far as I can tell, this is a problem with Word 2010. If Word doesn't show the "Additional Actions" submenu, there's nothing our Smart Tag can do about that. I found a way to force Word to show the menu, though: at the end of the heading, type two spaces followed by a letter. Word's grammar checker will alert you to the error (doubled spaces) by underlining it in green. Once it has this underline, you can right click and the "Additional Actions" submenu appears, and then you can use the Smart Tag. (See screenshot below.) This obviously isn't a very convenient workaround, but to me it demonstrates that the problem is Word, not the Logos Smart Tag.

Looks like we both discovered the same workaround independently. (I hadn't refreshed this thread to read your latest post before I replied.)

Our Smart Tag scanner is not invoked until you open the "Additional Actions" submenu. So if the menu doesn't appear, our code never runs.

I imagine that Word does this for performance reasons. In previous versions of Word, it would ask the Smart Tag to scan the entire document in the background (so it could add the purple wavy underline). This no longer happens in Word 2010, as Microsoft has deprecated the feature. From http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc179199.aspx#BKMK_Changed:

Text is no longer automatically recognized by a smart tag recognizer and will no longer display a purple dotted underline. Instead, users will be able to trigger recognition and view custom actions associated with text by selecting the text and clicking the Additional actions on the context menu.

It's likely that Smart Tags will be completely unsupported in future versions of Office.
