Does anyone know (maybe Rosie?) if Logos has anything by James Houston. if not, can someone recommend a couple of books (in Logos) that are comparable?
mm.
Hi Milkman,
I know him (he was one of my professors at Regent College) and would love to see more of his works in Logos.
The only full length work of his they have is:
Articles by him within Logos resources:
For someone who has had such a massive influence on evangelicalism, reviving the long-lost study of spiritual theology almost single-handedly, that is way too little. I hope to see more of his work coming out in Logos in the future.
There isn't really any writer comparable to him in Logos, however it would be good to read some of the authors who have influenced him and whom he teaches about to others -- the spiritual giants of the faith such as St. John of the Cross, St. Teresa of Avila, Soren Kierkegaard (I've been making some of his works available in PB; see here); the Cistercians such as Bernard of Clairvaux and Aelred of Rievaulx (Spiritual Friendship).
And until they're available in Logos, look for his books in paper form, or listen to courses or public lectures or freebie chapel talks by him from Regent Audio: http://regentaudio.com/james_houston.
Here is a bibliography of major works by him (asterisk = available in Kindle):
Reissues of previous books of his, under new titles:
Letters of Faith Through the Seasons: A Treasury of Great Christians' Correspondence, Vol. 1

Good morning Rosie,
He came to our Seminary in Cochrane years ago. We thoroughly enjoyed him being there. I think he should definitely be in Logos.
thanks and have a great day,
