If you use copy/paste the bibliographic information will be sent to your word processor of choice in a footnote. Turning off "Copy footnotes" avoids copying footnotes that occur in the original text.
Does that answer your question, or are you getting footnotes from the original text into your Word document in addition to the bibliographic information?

Can you give a specific example that I can test to confirm the issue? (Name a resource and location. I have Platinum, so if it's in Platinum or lower I've got it.)

I was just pasting bible serses from NASB95- to word, then tried and email- both the same issue- they leave the note marks 1,2,3 or a,b,c etc- attached to the front of the words indicating there is a note. see below:
2 in which you aformerly walked according to the 1course of bthis world, according to cthe prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in dthe sons of disobedience.
this is with copy footnotes turned off
1 And you 1were adead 2in your trespasses and sins,
2 in which you aformerly walked according to the 1course of bthis world, according to cthe prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in dthe sons of disobedience.

Ahh! yes if u use CBV it works fine- hmm- strange looks like it would work either way- but I guess not.

I'm a newbie here. What is the CBV module? I copy scriptures for bible studies and sermons, and I would like to eliminate the footnotes
as it takes up so much room on the pages.

Hi Karen - and welcome.
CBV is "Copy Bible Verses"
It is accessible from the tools menu
or can be invoked by the Ctrl-Alt-B key sequence.
For details on how to use it please see http://wiki.logos.com/Copy_Bible_Verses
Hope this helps
Graham

Karen, if you are selecting text to copy and paste it then you will want to go to the program settings and chance "Copy Footnotes" OFF
Turning "Copy Citations" to off will turn off the biographical footnote off too.

I turned off "Copy footnotes" in General Settings, and can't reproduce the problem. Here's what it looks like when I copy; there are no footnotes. (Does it make a difference for you if you press Ctrl+C, or choose "Copy" on the right-click menu?)

This is the exact problem that I have. I simply want to higlight a Bible Text, copy it, and paste it into a Word document without the Bible marginal referneces being appended as either a footnote or endnote. This worked flawlessly with my old XP machine --- but the compter suffered a HD crash. I had to download another copy of Libronix for my new System 7 machine and it installed properly. It is a version 3. I have spent a diligent 30+ minutes trying to find a menu that is like the one above and have been unsuccessful. I certainly have a Tools tab, but what is displayed under it is not close to what you have shown. I clicked on each sub tab and none looked close to the above. I also found no ability to "Open the NET Bible" if that is the key. In conjuction with a post by Kevin Becker it is apparent that I need to get to the Program Settings tab and change the Defaults and set the Copy Footnotes and Copy Citations defaults to "NO".
If you could walk me through every step to get me to what is displayed above I would greatly appreciate it.
My SS lesson preparation for this week is in jeopary here. I hope that you are in a postion to reply quickly.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Kevin ---
Version 3 installed on my new System 7 machine successfully. Can't copy Bible verses without attendant footnotes or endnotes. No problem with old XP machine. Your post seens to hold the key to fixing the problem, I have looked diligently for at least an hour and can not find a tab that is anywhere close to what you and Graham have displayed. Can you please give detailed instructions on how to get to the screen you posted.
Thanks in advance.

Edwin, the instruction above are for Logos 4, not Libronix 3 which you apparently are using.
Go to Tools>Options>General and you should see this screen
If you have other questions about Libronix, consider starting a new thread in its special forum: http://community.logos.com/forums/31.aspx
