Android Suite 2.3.3 Beta Release

The Android team is pleased to announce the 2.3.3 beta release of the Bible, Biblia, FSB, Verbum and Vyrso apps.

If you installed the app via the download link you can upgrade to the latest beta by clicking on the download link listed below, download the apk to your device and upgrading your existing app. If you want to receive an automatic notification when a new beta is available click on the gear icon, selecting the “about” option then change the Update Channel option from “stable” to “beta” (no quotes). Note: This Update Channel option only appears on the About page if you installed the app via our download link.

If you discover any issues please create a new post and include the following info:
  Description – How were you using the app when the problem occurred.
  App Info – Which app you are using. (Bible, Biblia, Faithlife Study Bible, Vyrso)
  Device Info – (Nexus 7, Motorola Triumph, Droid Bionic, Kindle Fire (1st gen))
  Android Version – (2.2, 2.3, 3.x, 4.0, 4.1)

Had to disable Rich Text editor on my Galaxy Note.. N7000/4.0.3 after approx 20 chars it locks up get a "Samsung Keyboard stopped responding" message

Using Ice Cream Sandwich on Toshiba Thrive. I am not seeing any difference in the notes editor. It looks the way it has always looked.

Someone please post a screen shot.

You have to enable it in settings first before you see any diference.

I have it checked Stephen (by default) still not seeing a difference when editing a note. If you create a new note, then it works. Edit a note, and the rich text editor is not invoked. Thanks for the assistance.

Hmm, this is not how it should be working. How exactly are you getting to the Edit Note dialog? I've tried editing a note both by selecting a portion of the text and using the "Edit Note" option in the popup menu as well as clicking on the note icon then clicking on the "Edit Note" link at the bottom of the note popup and both open the editor with the new beta rich text editor field (when the setting is enabled).

Including a screenshot. You can definitely tell a difference between the new Rich Text editor and the old plain text edit control.

In the below screenshot I created a new simple note, but if you were editing an existing note created from the desktop the rich text markup generated by the desktop would be shown and editing the note would preserve it's surrounding text styling.

Hi Dominic,

Thanks for reporting this. Unfortunately (and strangely) the app stopped sending information to the catlog about halfway through (not sure why). We're looking into better reporting methods for the future. In any case, a couple questions if you would:

Can you confirm this happens with a new note (as opposed to editing an existing one)?
Can you confirm you using the default keyboard on the device (i.e. not something you changed to like Swype or Swiftkey)

Yes New Note, only seems to happen with Beta Editor enabled
Yes Samsung Default Keyboard only

Half way through is approx the point where keyboard stops responding, will uninstall app and redo, shouldnt make a difference but you never know..

Gabe I am using a Toshiba Thrive.

1. When I select a note that has already been created and choose edit from the popup I get the same old note editor.

2. I double tap a word to select it.

3. I can then type another word, and the rich editor will not show.

4. If I create a new note, the rich text editor will automatically show up.

reinstall did nothing same issue, gonna factory reset phone today as I seem to be unique [:D].. LOL
