New American Commentery Collection Upgrade??

I just noticed two NAC's on prepub. When I investigated I realised there are actually 8 NBC's I do not have. I have the Scholars gold library which came with the NAC (31 vols). There however does not seem to be an upgrade offered. Just 2 commentaries on prepub price and the other 6 at full price (must have started collecting after they appeared on prepub).

I have ordered the prepub ones but would rather be able to buy all 8 as an upgrade (I cannot afford all 8 at their present price). Is there any plans to form these into an upgrade or is it possible for a discount to be given if you buy more than one book from the same collection?

It would be great if libronix offered discounted prices to people who own collections and are just adding new titles to that same collection as they are published?

In Christ,

Jonty

I see that the Isaiah 1-36 NAC came out in mid-July.  Was this on prepub at some point or did it just show up out of the blue???  I can't believe I missed getting it if it was announced at all somewhere.

Yeah I missed it too, unless there was no announcement. I was surprised to see the second half of Isaiah on prepub.

I don't think it was in the prepub. I am watching the prepub very regularly. I understand the prepub is needed for Logos only if they are not sure the title will have enough willing customers.

If you pursue this with sales, I would be interested to hear what you find out.

This was not offered on Pre-pub, i do check the Pre-pub regularly. I think new products should appear in Pre-pub or a notice sent out to inform users of additional product to a set, that is now available. This also happened with the MacArthur commentaries on John's Gospel & 1 John, i only found out it was available in Logos by accident.

Maybe, just maybe the six volumes already published will be included as part of version 4 upgrade (for those who already have the NAC series).

I cannot say more on the topic (and I do not claim to give the official word) but patience might just prove to have its own rewards

That would be really nice and I would even feel it right to be so. I will certainly wait to the version 4 to see what we got. I think we will not be disappointed. I am just an optimist in this regard. [:)]

Logos, let's hear from you folks on this one!

Many of us saw and feel just as Jonty is indicating and would like to know why no opportunity was provided to us as we esteem the NAC very highly.

(Jonty, thank you for asking the questions!)

Based on other issues from the past, let me offer a generic response.

Sometimes, Logos is not permitted to release books in pre-pub. The publisher has the final say, not Logos.

Sometimes, Logos is not permitted to speak on certain deals until a specific time.

Sometimes, they read and then negotiate with the publisher and then once negotiations are finished, they make a public announcement.

Just wanted to mention that a delay in posting here does not mean a delay in Logos hearing and responding.
