I picked up a new resource this evening. The Arrogant Journey: Hermeneutics and Church History by Victor Vadney an interesting fellow. I did some background checking and found that he has authored two other books on Christian topics. But oddly enough he has no professed scholarship in religion. He is a medical doctor.
Now, his book pursues a sweeping coverage of biblical hermeneutics from Adam to the Stone-Campbell Restoration Movement. I skimmed the resource and to my disappointment he leaves off any coverage of the Essene sect; nearly 280 pages and no apparent mention of the Qumran texts or the Essenes.
So here's my question does anyone know of a scholarly work that gives treatment to the hermeneutic approach of the Essene sect?
