Help. Preferred Bible changed.
The NKJV has been my preferred Bible for years. Just this morning my Android phone (Motorola Droid) showed an error that it could not load the NKJV when I went to open it. Now it has switched to the ASV and I have not been able to find a way to change it back. Has some system thing happened? How can I change it back to the NKJV as my preferred Bible?
Thanks,
Rob

Can you check to see that the NKJV is downloaded on your android?

I can go to it in the library. When I try to read it, I get the error "An unknown error occurred opening resource." It has been downloaded and working for a long time. What would have unloaded it? How else do I check to see if it is loaded?
Thanks.

You could consider reinstalling the app.

Yes. This happens both at home and at work. In both places I have a wifi connection. When I click Download from within the store, it says I already own the resource. Whenever I try to access it I get the error. Why would it have suddenly stopped working when it has been working for such a long time?

You might try removing the NKJV and then re-downloading it. Pull it up in the library, tap the circle i, information icon, to the right of the name, and select the "Remove" button. After it completes, select "Download".

I selected it in the library and when I click on it to get to the next screen, I get the error. So it doesn't look like I can even get to the screen to remove it. I can still select other books that are not loaded and load them fine.
Thanks for the suggestions. Are there any others? I haven't tried removing the logos app altogether and downloading it over again. I was hoping to find something less drastic but if that is the only other option, I guess that is what I will have to do. Have others had to remove the whole app and download again due to errors before?

Did you click on the "circle i" icon? You have to click right on the icon to get to the information screen where the option to "Remove" it is.

Maybe I'm missing it, but I don't see a way to get to a screen that has the circle i on it without clicking on the NKJV resource, which gives me the error. I open the library, type in nkjv in the library search. It gives me a list of library resources matching the criteria, which includes the nkjv bible. There is no circle i shown yet. For other resources, I have to click on the corresponding item. Then I see the screen containing the circle i. When I click on the nkjv item, I get the error, so I haven't been able to get there. Is there another way I can get to the circle i or another way I can remove the nkjv resource? Thanks again for your help.

Sorry for being unclear. Here is a screenshot of the info icon: (tiny little icon to the right of the listing)

Sounds like your app is out of date. Can you confirm which version of the app you are running?
If you installed via Google Play / Amazon Appstore check for updates on your device.
if you installed via direct apk download see this post: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/65136.aspx

Interesting. I don't have a circle i there. I have a circled arrow. When I click it I do get the Resource Info screen for NKJV but there is no unload button or any other button for that matter. Clicking on the settings menu item at the bottom of my phone screen doesn't bring up anything either. I have Android version 4.0.4 on a Droid Razr. Do I have a different version or am I not looking in the right place?

That was it. I did an update of the app. Then I had to reload the NKJV and now it can open and read it again. Now I wonder why only the NKJV suddenly stopped working with the older version, today. But at least I am up and going again. Thanks for everyone's help.
