Upgrading Desktop to Logos 5

First, let me say thank you to those of you who post to the forums. I read them daily and have gleaned many insights into bible study.

I have Logos 5 on my laptop and Logos 4 on my desktop simply because I use the laptop for sermon prep. Now I am going to use the desktop more often for bible study and would like to have Logos 5 on it as well. This morning I clicked on my Logos 4 icon on the desktop and this message appeared: Logos Bible 4 Software has stopped working--a problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

I am sure there is a simple solution to this and would appreciate any help you might give.

You may wish to try downloading the engine directly from here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/downloads.logos.com/LBS5/Installer/LogosSetup.exe if that does not work, then repost with the Logos.

It looks like one of your resources may be unavailable, which is causing the crash. The following procedure may help:

Start Logos while holding down the CTRL key. The Sign In dialog should appear. Check the "Use blank layout" checkbox, then click Sign In.

When the app opens, type "update resources" into the command box at the top of the window, then wait for Logos 5 to check for updates. Hopefully it will find some and start downloading them, which I hope will resolve the issue.
