Is mac 2.4GGz Core 2 Duo adequate for 5?
I would hope so - that is way more processor than I use.
But more important than Processor for Logos is having enough memory and a fast hard drive.
It is adequate. For older computers though, having a decent graphics card makes a difference too (in addition to memory and disk speed).

Depends on personal tolerance for click and wait delay, Faster CPU (e.g. 2nd/3rd Generation i5/i7) responds quicker.
Curious which Mac model ?
Solid State Disk (SSD) also improves Logos responsiveness along with having adequate RAM (e.g. 4 GB or more).
