Blog link broken - more on Home Page
As far as I can tell, this post was removed from the blog (but is still referenced in the RSS feed that the home page downloads, causing a broken link to appear). That's all the information I have, sorry.
Okay folks - I've found the 5 parts of the soul from a Chassidic source. I'm more than halfway there. [:D] If I were more stoic about it I would quote "According to the Stoic theory, there areeight parts of the soul, the ‘commanding faculty’[hêgemonikon] or mind, the five senses, voice and(certain aspects of) reproduction." (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy).
I read the original blog post before it was deleted, the 8 parts came from a search of "soul feature" using the Bible Sense lexicon. It was given in the spirit of, this is one way to start learning more about the soul, not that there is anything magical about the number 8, or this is some undiscovered dogma or anything:
