newbie looking for help with search

As a fairly new user of L5 (silver) I am trying to figure out the most efficient way to conduct a certain search.
I want to find all Biblical instances of people who did not heed prophetic warnings (from true prophets of God).
Can someone help with suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Looking for something did NOT happen is not going to be possible for an automated search. Example: 1 Kings 13, where the young prophet died because he listened to the lie of the old prophet.
You might search for all verses that contain
prophet OR prophecy OR prophesy
to get a list of places to look. It will be a long search, but you will wind up with a useful list.0 -

As indicated a search engine cannot be tasked to make such decisions. How do you recognise phrophecy when it is not indicated by "prophecy" or even "x phrophesied"? Often it is "blessing" & "cursing" (Deut 30) or a speech (Deut 31, Gen 48.19; 50.24). It certainly can't discern true prophets, let alone prophets (particularly in the first 5 books of the OT).
If you have the Andersen-Forbes Analysed Text (AFAT) it can aid you with its tagging of "Prophecy" with a search for
<AndersenForbesGenre = Prophecy (Human-to-Human)>
In the New Testament you will find the Louw-Nida domain tagging in Reverse interlinears to be helpful, as Domain 33 Communication includes
A´´ Prophesy (33.459–33.462)
C´´ Bless, Curse (33.470–33.475)
(Louw, J. P., & Nida, E. A. (1996). Vol. 1: Greek-English lexicon of the New Testament: Based on Semantic Domains)So you can search for:-
<LN 33.459–462>, <LN 33.470-475>

Looking for help - On my Logos 3 I had it set up were I just clicked my icon - Logos would go directly to my work space - on this work space is my favorite Bibles, commentaries, illustration, Greek/Hebrew texts, and note pad. Can this be done with Logos five - if so how do I do it? Need help - I have been trying to find a DVD that show how to do this.

Peace to you, Terry! and ... Welcome indeed to the Logos Forums where ordinary folks who use Logos Bible Software try to help and support one another....
I do remember Logos 3 very fondly and the work spaces very fondly. With Logos 5 I use "Layouts" and am quite happy with the way they work.
My first suggestion is that you should start a new thread with a new post spelling out what you did here. The reason is that more people would take a look at it and respond to you very personally according to your needs... Please investigate "Layouts" and then come back with your very specific questions and comments.... either here or in a new thread ..........
Meanwhile, you might want to begin to research Layouts. To get to the help file, simply use F1 and then type in Layouts.
Also, The Logos Wiki has some good info .... http://wiki.logos.com/Layouts__
edit: I was just over to the Wiki and see there that there is at least one video re. this matter! *smile*
Philippians 4: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand..........

It's getting quite late here in Eastern Canada so will sign off for the day!
I'll look tomorrow to see if you're making any progress! Stick with it! Logos 5 is really great! *smile*

Welcome [:D]
Logos 5 has Tools => Program Settings that has General section, which includes "At Startup Open to"
At Camp Logos 1, changed Startup to open Blank Layout for quicker Logos launching. Once Logos is open, can choose a Layout, Home Page, or open resource(s).
Keep Smiling [:)]

No pun intended but :
-God was His own Prophet. Why not start w/Adam and Eve, or would the politically correct say Eve and Adam.....
-Moving quickly forward: Moses and Pharaoh....
-Going thru the Major Prophets there are many.....
-Beginning in the NT, lets start w/John the 'Baptist -izer'.....
