Location of Library in Logos 5

Logos 5 (Win 7). I cannot find where Logos is storing library files and if I can store these files on a different drive. This appears to be a problem for those (like me) who are using partition drives and/or Solid State Drives with small amounts of disk space.

Question: Is there is any way to store library (resource) files on a different drive? Logos 5 has now filled up my Solid State Drive and now my computer can't function for lack of necessary space on the SSD for program files and operations.

FYI - For performance reasons, you would be advised to leave Logos on your SSD drive. How big (small) is it?

SSD is 256 GB (although it says 237 GB). I wanted to leave Logos 5 on SSD but store the Library files on a different drive. I'll check out the link you gave me. Does it provide instructions that will allow me to do this? Thanks!

Looks like to me that these instructions are for moving all of Logos (program and library) to a different drive. It also refers to Logos 4 (although I assume the instructions apply also to Logos 5). Of course, if I do this, then Logos will slow down greatly; but I guess I have no choice since Logos 5 is such a disk hog.

There are actually quite a number of people using Solid State Drives for Logos very successfully. The Logos files take up around 20 gig (obviously more if you have a larger library) so how Logos 5 can possibly have filled your SSD is beyond me. It surely can't have done so on its own.

There's almost no benefit in leaving the Logos program on the SSD. All the benefit comes from the resources and indexes being on the SSD. Separating the three isn't supported, but can be achieved through symbolic links.

Your comment shows your lack of knowledge of computers and their storage systems. I am quoting a technical person with Logos: "Logos has to store your Resources & Documents together with datasets & images for many of its features, and it builds a large Index which makes Logos’ search speed possible. An 1100 book library will take about 14 GB."

Therefore the index file itself is what causes the huge amount of disk space to be used, causing a severe slowdown to most computer systems and the use of a large amount of disk space.

Also I am running a 1 TB hard drive with a quad-core processor & 8 GB of RAM, and it uses quite a bit of space on it and slows my computer down considerably every time I have to open the program and it indexes.
