BUG: Position in resource doesn't stay in place when RI is turned on or off

1) Go to [for example] Deut 28:3.

2) Turn on the interlinear.

Verse 3 is suddenly way down.

3) Scroll to get verse 3 at the top again.

4) Turn off the interlinear.

The reference box still says verse 2, but the text shown at the top is now verse 12.

The positioning of the text should stay put when you turn the RI on or off.

This is a longstanding bug that is very annoying when you frequently turn the RI on and off in order to help people here on the forums. I don't think it is resource specific.

"Longstanding" is the under-statement. Logos is my only Bible software where the Bible reference box is so frequently not the text displayed. I'm sure it's due to my computer not being powerful enough.

I agree that turning on the inline function shouldn't change the verse positioning - it would be really good if this could be changed[Y]

Yes. I'm surprised no one has reported this long ago (or have I missed it?). Given that Windows has many more users and many fewer bugs, it would be nice if you Windows folks reported all these common bugs.[;)] I already have far more work than I can cope with with the Mac specific ones.[:(]

Did you do step 3 in between? It sounds like you didn't. If you leave verse 3 way down, yes, then it returns to the top when the RI is turned off.

I am able to reproduce this on both platforms, but only in Deuteronomy 28. The same experiment in Proverbs 1:8 works fine on both platforms. I suspect it may have some more complex reasoning, but I'll report it.

Agree that this doesn't happen in Proverbs 1:8 but it does in Jonah 1:4 - so it looks as though there is a systemic issue here, not just specific to a particular passage

Agreed. I tried a few different places in the NRSV, and found one or two more where it worked as it should, but most didn't.

I'll report it.

Thanks. Could you also put in a case for the dropdown to be dismissed automatically after turning Inline on or off? (Not after checking or unchecking the other alternatives, as one is more likely to want to alter several of those at the same time.)
