I am running snow leopard
I cannot copy (command "c") and paste stuff to word. even when i go to edit with a highlighted section the option to "copy" is "greyed out"

The key binding for Copy (cmd-c) isn't implemented yet. You can right click a selection and select "Copy" from the context menu.

Actually, no I can't. When I try to go the menu route the option isn't available. I can see it, but not select it. It is grey and unavailable.
Kevin, what book are you trying to copy from? Can you post the exact steps here and I will try to duplicate it on my machine which is also running snow leopard.
