All the books you now own in L3 will move. The minimal crossgrade adds those L4 resources that take advantage of some of the new features. Logos has stated that their goal is that you only purchase any book one time.

Actually, Logos 4 will download the books on its own from Logos itself. You may still keep Logos 3 running concurrently until all the new features will also be in Logos 4 (in the next number of months - I patiently wait!) Now I use Logos 4 about 90% of the time, but look at my PBB's in Logos 3.

Someone else may chip in here. If you have a very large library, you might be able to have Logos 4 get the resources right off your own hard drive rather than download. However, as far as I am concerned, if you have a good broad band IP provider, you might just as well let Logos 4 handle the download. It takes a very long time for indexing once download is completed, depending upon the size of your library, as much as overnight for an extremely large library of, say, 2,000 resources.

You will be glad to be using Logos 4 once it's up and running for you. ........ a bit of a learning curve, but the FAQ page and the Logos wicki take a lot of the pain out of that .

Chris,

Check out the FAQs on Logos' website as it make all those kind of questions clear. You can, if you want, just do the "no cost" install and have all your current books. You just won't have any of the new features that are designed to take advantage of the new engine.

I'd also suggest you watch the videos and look over the wiki (wiki.logos.com) to understand all the new features and ways of using L4 - it is quite different. Remember, you may not have all the resources/features depending on your base package. If ever you are going to upgrade your package, this is the time to do it at, BTW.
