Minimal upgrade uption

Does anyone know how to find a description of the "minimal upgrade option".

I have a lot of resourses on my computer. However, I don't have a base package. At the moment I'm not really interested in buying a base package - as I own a lot the resources already (I would be paying for the books twice then and the 'extras' are more or less books that I'm not really interested in - at least not at the moment - and the nice discounts are only for people already owning a base package.)

I have downloaded the engine (and don't like it as I find it extremely confusing and slow on my computer. I don't want to invest a lot of time at the moment getting into a new programme). It also seems that the simple engine lacks a lot of the functionality that I have in Logos 3 (like maps).

I asked a sales person at logos about the missing functionality - and he advised me to buy the "minimal upgrade" at $69.95.

However, I can't find anything about this minimal upgrade. What's the difference between this minimal upgrade and the free engine? Whenever I search on the website I always seem to get back to the description of upgrade of base packages. Anyone who has link to this 'minimal upgrade'?

If you aren't going to use L4 most of the stuff in it won't be useful - it is mainly features that require L4.

Moving to L4 does take some time. If you are not able to give it that time, don't switch until you can. That said, the deals will not last so you might want to buy the crossgrade and wait to actually use it.

It makes really good sense to get it, since Logos 4 has many new features you would not be able to benefit from without that basic crossgrade. I understand you are not willing to pay second time for the books by getting the base package, however I find it very important to get on of the base packages eventually. There are things which you get only as part of the base packages, like PBB support (should be in L4 in the 2nd Q 2010). Of course you can do it any time later, the price might be not so good however. The minimal crossgrade IMHO is just "must". Biblical Places, People, Things, iPhone support and many other tools are worth of 69 USD.

That's just my piece of advice.

The "upgrade" prices (not the lists) are supposed to take into account all the books you previously bought whether individually or in packages. In other words, you don't pay twice for the same book. Understand that Logos heavily discounts books in packages, especially at this point when they are introducing a new engine and new packages. You can call CS and have them verify that the books you have that are in a package are "credited" in the upgrade price. With the discounting they won't give you $ for $, but then you won't pay full price for the rest.

What I found, was that one commentary series in the upgrade that I got, was more $ by itself than the whole upgrade.

These are limited time prices.

BTW, the minimal crossgrade link is found on the personalized upgrade offer page just under the right hand end of the list of packages just before the list of all the resources in the packages.
