I recognize that the Example Uses section may not be comprehensive but in this example both the Example Uses and the Grammatical Relationships show 4 entries.

However, when I convert the Grammatical Relationships to verse format I get 5 entries:

Why is there the discrepancy in count when I switch format?

There are 13 occurrences of the lemma according to the translation ring. Is there a way to go from the Grammatical Relationship section to all occurrences of the lemma that fulfill that relationship or must one build their own syntactical search?

This behavior is by design. The display of this information is under review, to try to make the differences less confusing.

The behavior of these sections was explained to me this way:

Example Uses: This section is garnered from the Grammatical Relationship data; specifically the "verses" view. Not all of the Grammatical Relationship data is displayed here. The Examples Uses are meant to provide a basic example without being overwhelming (as could happen with frequently used words).

The Grammatical Relationships section offers two views of the syntactic data for a lemma.

The Verses view: This view is sort of like a one-dimensional view. This is where a lemma occurs as the head term of a component-level structure. Essentially, clauses are made of components (Subject, Verb/Predicator, Object/Complement, etc.). This view does not display when a term happens to occur inside of a (let's say) Subject; this is when the term actually is the Subject. So, terms that are more naturally adjectives won't typically show up in this view that often, if at all.

The By Related Word view: This view is essentially a two-dimensional view. It is basically saying, given my current lemma (dimension 1), what other words exist in some syntactic context with this lemma (dimension 2)? For example, if the lemma is a verb, then this related-word view will show the subjects that occur with the verb, the objects that occur with that verb, and so on. If the lemma is not a verb, then it will show verbs that occur with the substantive when it is the subject, when it is the object, and well as adjectives that modify it, etc.

The Verses and Related Word view will necessarily differ in the list of references they treat. Not every instance will be a head term, but some will. And not every instance will be, say, an adjectival modifier (only in Related Words) but some will. Some will occur in both.
