Tried downloading Logos 5 lost all of my bibles and books from Logos 4 Platinum

Thank you Grahm for your advice. But when I installed the Logos 5, all of my bibles and books from my Logos 4 Scholar and Platinum disappear. I only get very few books, none of which I use. There are no bibles. I thought when I install the Logos 5 engine, I would retain all of my books and bibles. It did show two books that I had in Logos 4, but said I didn't have licenses for them. Why??? Also, I tried the updated Logos 4 that you sent the URL for. Unfortunately, tat did not work also. I get "Logos Bible Software 4 has stopped working" error when I try to sign in.7853.Logos Log Files.zip. Any more ideas. I tired a uninstaller program and then tried to reinstall a few times before. If my computer had not crashed from the Windows 8 update.... Oh well, maybe there is something else we can do?

It should (and it does), we just need to figure out what has gone wrong.

Yes, once you have installed L5 you can't go back and run L4 in the same account.

When you were uninstalling did you select options to remove data?

Oh well, maybe there is something else we can do?

R4M's advice above is good - hopefully this will resolve the problem.

If not, can you just clarify that you are using the same account details to access L5 as you did in L4?

Unfortunately, because you installed Logos 5 you can't go back to Logos 4 just by using the URL link you were given. If you run the Logos 5 URL you will update to L5 and this should stop the crashes. Then you can try the update resources command. But you should first enable permanent logging so we can look at logs if things aren't working.

The uninstall wasn't successful as the logs don't show any Logos4 install program. The crash happens because the Guides db (and probably others) have a newer version to Logos 4 - so it is best to try to return to Logos 5 via the link.
