I haven't seen this issue come up in a while. My recollection is that people who were having this problem were experiencing some kind of proxy interference on the page.
When you say you have "java" enabled, I assume you mean "javascript," which is what's applicable on Logos pages. (They are different and have unfortunately similar names.) Also, if you have any kind of ad / script / cookie blocking add-ons, they're likely to interfere with the javascript which is used on these pages. I know that my use of OpenDNS, NoScript, DoNotTrackMe, etc. will cause these kinds of problems if I don't allow the right javascript to be retrieved and executed. Ghostery is another example of something that might interfere with these pages.

Gregory, I'm not sure if this applies now but when I got the book about a week ago I had two options. One button was the basic "Add to Cart" and the other button was "Quick Buy".
On my iPad if I selected "Quick Buy" it would do as you described. When I selected the "Add to Cart" button, the process worked as designed.
Lastly, I'm not sure which page you are trying to use but have you tried getting it directly from the Logos web site's main home page? If not you can click on "Free Book of the Month" tab and then click "Learn More". You will then have a button that automatically puts it into your shopping cart.
The problem has something to do with the way people are browsing the site. Something is causing the UserAgent to be modified when it is set to our server and thus the page served up isn't working correctly. I've confirmed that this is the problem as I was able to reproduce the issue and updated the case.
We are investigating whether we can do something different on our end, but until it's fixed (if it's possible to do so) I'd recommend not using what ever tool is being used to change the UserAgent.
Sorry for the difficulty with the shopping cart.
EDIT: And for those who don't know what I'm talking about, sorry I should have given more information, the UserAgent is the bit of data sent to our server that tells us what browser is being used. Unfortunately not all browsers are created equal so we usually need this to make sure the page will work for that browser. In this case the server is not recognizing the UA and serving up a page that won't work for Gregory.
Thanks,Mike
Ok, it looks like we fixed this specific cause of the Cart not working when clicking on the Proceed button. This fix appears to also resolve a related case where people couldn't delete items from their cart.
I just noticed that I could not delete items from my cart. Using Mozilla Firefox.
Hi Cary and Mark,
We just fixed an issue a couple of hours ago that might be related to what was being seen with submitting in the cart and deleting items issues here. In a nutshell we had a bug where sometimes some content wasn't being downloaded when you loaded the page, and if that content wasn't there it'd break various things including the cart.
Please let me know if you can still repro the issue and I'll investigate more. If you're in a browser that caches your web page content then you might need to refresh the cache. For example on Windows it can be done via Control+F5.Thank you,Mike
