But I think the highest personal use for me is to understand the word of God, and have a deeper understanding.
And by this to get closer to God.
I was thinking of asking this question myself so thanks for asking.
I use Logos for
The short answer is that I use it for pretty much anything I do with the Bible.
I bought Logos for studying hebrew. Would use it for syriac aswell if the fonts would work properly in my mac.

Along with personal study, use Logos and Libronix to research a number of forum questions.
Thankful for many friendly forum discussions: have learned a lot plus have a lot to learn.

Hi! I used to just mess around with Logos, but now I use it for my seminary studies. Currently working on a B. Theol. and so far it has been quite helpful.
The drawback about electronic books though seems to be that, despite the few pages and descriptions offered on the website, it is impossible to truly skim the book to see if it would be worth buying. I have a limited budget, which forces me to return resources if after buying them, I find that the remainder of the book (aside from the first few pages/chapter) are worthless.
Often, an author's point of view cannot be guessed at unless more content is allowed. Sometimes an author gets to a great start, only later to get lazy in exegesis, and promote sloppy reasoning.
But guess what? Logos has never complained about my returns. They have the best customer service I will probably ever encounter. I hope everyone will buy Logos on my recommendation, thus I may offset some of their processing costs. (I do keep a good number of resources though, some of them expensive for me).
That must be an RI feature... [;)]
I use it as all of the above. I also love to read my books on my iPad when I'm out relaxing having coffee at the mall or just enjoying the Floridian weather out on my porch.
