Starting to lose faith in Proclaim's progress

I've been using proclaim for almost a year now for our church - which is a new church plant. $10/mo seemed like it made sense on a limited budget. I'm starting to lose faith though in development as over the last 6 months I have to force quit every time I quit because it doesn't close properly, iPhone remote connection has become sparatic at best, and basic presentation application features like content management, templates, being able to change a song background without affecting text formatting are still missing... but I guess we have live surveys! <<<--- A little bit of sarcasm intended.

When can major upgrades be expected on these most basic presentation features?

I love Logos and have been a fan of what potential Proclaim showed right from the beginning, I'm just wishing it had more standard features, especially with how long some of these requests have been sitting on the development suggestion website.

I completely understand your concerns. Currently we are spending the next month or so focusing solely on stability and scale. After that we hope to start picking off some of the long standing feature requests - better content management, etc. We appreciate your patience, things are about to get better.

That's good to hear. I don't use Proclaim--doubt I ever will--but I logged on this morning and saw the usual pandemic of new Proclaim threads and said, "Ah, it must be Sunday!"

My feeling about this whole concept is that it is perfectly fine to employ presentation enhancement when communicating YHWH's Word, but great care should be used to make sure presentation doesn't become "SHOW!" I have advocated making Logos itself the presentation program, dispensing with ports to stuff like PowerPoint. I do it in L3 all the time, but the features that make it possible were (every time I say it I have to shake my head) deliberately cut when L4 came out. I realize Proclaim is just as much a music integration tool as a visual aide, which is fine. To me, the things that make some folks salivate over Proclaim's potential ("a million people can have their input to the presentation!"--I exaggerate for effect [:P] ) are the very things that give the program all the resilience of an egg shell.

I would like to see Proclaim do well, mainly because it is a Logos product, and I want the company to be successfully strong so that my investment in it is always secure...even if I must perpetually dwell in 2007.
