Click on reference in documents
When I click on a bible reference from documents, how do i sync the other half of the page to show the faithlife study bible with the passage I have clicked on?
it seems to sync to the previous passage I had open.
thanks

Hi Luella
Sorry but I don't understand what you are asking. For clarification:
- Which app are you using? I am assuming the Logos Bible app
- It sounds as though you have a split-pane configuration with the FSB in one half of the screen. Is that correct and - if so - what do you have in the other half?
- Are the different panes synchronised?
- What sort of document are you using to click on a Bible reference?
- In which pane (which resource) does this take effect?

What do you mean by this?

Sorry for the confusion.
I am using an ipad with the logos bible app.
i have saved notes on certain verses. So when I go to the documents and see the verse that I have a note attached to,I click on it and one half of the split pane takes me to that verse i clicked on,but the other pane is still on the passage I had open previously.
my question is how can I go to this new passage and then have the other half show the faithlife study bible on the split half of the split screen?
i hope this makes sense.
Thanks so much!

When I click on the passage from notes documents I get this page. When I try and click away the right side panel, I get back to the previous passage. I would like to have the new passage linked with faith life study bible for the new passage.makes sense?
yes I do have them linked.
thanks for your patience.

Hi Luella
I understand now[:)]
It seems that the "hidden linked resource" (i.e. the one covered by the notes document) isn't synced when the visible document moves to a different reference.
Then, when the document panel is removed the two are out of sync.
It will be interesting to get Logos' view on whether this is by design or whether this is a bug.
In the meantime a couple of suggestions:
- You could press on the bottom of the line separating the panes and choose "Sync Panels". The problem with this is you can't determine which one will win!
- Use a couple of fingers to scroll up a line in the Bible text which will force a sync and the FSB will come into step

Exactly what I mean!
the old one always winfi
do you mind asking them, if it is a burg, now that you know what I mean?
thanks
the way I get around it is moving the split panel to only one pane and then when I open up a passage from the my documents and then go back to split screen it works!
Thanks

I expect / hope someone from Logos will see this thread and comment shortly.

Hi Graham and Luella,By design, the last panel navigated takes the lead while the other panel follows. However, in this situation the paradigm seems to get in the way. I've written up an inquiry case for this issue.0 -
