Layout bounce: a bug?

I save layouts as I'm working through Titus. As I progress through the chapters, I rename them accordingly ("Titus 2," "Titus 2"). So that it reopens where I left off, I'll click on Layouts, right-click on the particular one, and select "Update to current snapshot." This has worked well.
Until now.
Now I do that same thing, saving it at Titus 3:1. Then, when I open it, the tabs (Passage Guide, Exegetical Guide) initially say "Titus 3:1"... but then as they open content, they spontaneously "bounce" to "Titus," so that the resources open to Titus 1:1 instead of 3:1.
I have saved and resaved, created a new layout, and rebooted. No change.
Ideers?

Hi Daniel,
What do you have Logos opening to in your preferences? Is it set to "Most recent layout -any" or "Most recent layout-local" that specific layout? Also, after updating the layout do you ever navigate to where it seems to bet switching to?

Hi Tommy, thanks and sorry for the slow reply.
To be clear, I am talking about a layout that I have named and saved, and have as a toolbar button. It has worked exactly right until this -- that is, if I leave off at 2:6, I save that screen shot and next time it opens there. Ditto 2:10, 2:12, whatever. Only now that I'm at 3:1 does it open displaying 3:1 on the two tabs, and then both tabs "bounce" tot saying "Titus," with no reference, and everything's at 1:1.
To answer your questions anyway, at startup I open to Home. And no, I save the layout before closing it, as a rule.
And while I'm at it, there's now an added oddity. When I enter "Titus 3:1" on (say) the Exegetical Guide tab, it goes there -- but the Passage Guide doesn't, even though both are Link set A, so that where one goes, the other should follow. Weird, eh?

I'm curious if you have your Bibles linked to any resources (which ones). Also, what would happen if you unlinked them, saved your layout and then open again. Do you get the same behavior.
Here's my suspicion: one of your linked resources may not have a link to Titus 3:1, but has one to Titus 1-3. This could happen if a commentary or other resource sees a section division happening at 2:15, instead of 3:1. So, when your Bible loads, it first loads to the correct location, and then as other tabs open, the stored location for one resource sends it (and all resources linked to it), to the beginning of Titus. It shouldn't happen that way, but it could.
I have sometimes found that clicking on a linked resource in that was in the background, will behave like this, and it makes me wonder if something like this is going on as you open a layout. You might be able to save correctly, because the actual location and the saved location can be different (in certain circumstances).
(Yep. This is a guess.)

This sounds plausible.
