I have Libronix 3.0g running on Windows 7 with IE10

Just built a new system. Actually upgraded the Motherboard, processor RAM and added an SSD in my old one.

MB: ASUS P8H77-V LE Socket 1155 LGA

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.40GHz - Ivy Bridge

HARD DRIVE: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s

SSD: Intel 330 Series Solid-State Drive 60 GB SATA

One of the reasons I went with the H77 chipset was so that I could use Intel Smart Response SSD Caching. The small SSD works in RAID mode and caches frequently used files. So I essentially have a 1TB hard drive with the performance of an SSD. This feature alone was worth the upgrade to me Cool

I did a clean install of Windows 7 Pro with Service pack 1 integrated in the install media. I then installed Internet Explorer and did all available Windows updates to bring Windows up to date.

After installing Libronix 3 following these instructions and the IE9 registry patch, I ran through the tests we used before to see if everything was working. It did.

Until I installed the patch, closing L3 would not terminate the process. Going to task manager showed that it was still running even though the window had been closed. (LDLS.exe and LibSys.exe)

It had to be terminated in task manager to restart and discover new resources. The IE9 patch seems to have fixed that issue too.

Once again the secret seems to be doing a clean install. The results for me were much the same when I installed it on Windows 8 a couple months back. It ran flawlessly (as much as Libronix can) while other people were reporting serious errors.

As long as it runs on Win 7 I have no intention of upgrading to Logos 4 or 5 Big Smile

    John,

Thanks for your post. It sounds like you've built quite a "mean machine" with plenty of capabilities.

As for doing a clean install in order for L3 to be compatible to IE10, well, thats a lot of doing just to be able to use a new browser.

You might not have to do a new OS install for IE10. But when it came to Win8 the evidence seems to point that direction.

Just Install IE10 and see if it still runs. If it is running with IE9, I think it probably will [H]

Let us know if it doesnt

Paul this is a 2013 post related to Libronix 3 which is a very old version of Logos. Is your question related to Libronix? If not, then Library Management is not in the latest versions of Logos.
