I am not a power Logos user nor do I have a huge library, but I have been using Logos for a few years now. I just bought a used copy of Anchor Bible Dictionary and got it transferred to my account. I primarily use Logos 1.2.2 and Logos Mac 4 Alpha 7 (as of 12/10/09). I was excited at how easy it was to sync this book with both resources. I got some great instruction from the lady who helped me in customer service (I can't remember her name). My customer service experience was absolutely wonderful and even fun. Huge thanks!!!
Now the big reason I am writing this is because of the different searching method between 1.2.2 and L4. Here is my "outside of church" application. My wife and I are looking at baby names and we are looking for a good and unique, but not too out there, Biblical name. I opened ABD in Logos 1.2.2 and closed it because I could only navigate to pages. I did a word search and pulled up a list of resources and clicked on ABD and got what I was looking for. It is clunky, but it did the trick. In Logos Mac 4 A7, I opened ABD and saw a search bar, typed in a word and went instantly there. It works the way it should! I can't wait till Logos for Mac gets closer to a stable release. Thanks to all who are involved with this process.
