search for quotes of psalms

How do I search the gospels for spoken quotes from Psalms? I'm sure this is easy.

    When you do a Bible Search, enter the exact quote in quotation marks; "The Lord is my Shepherd", this will find only your exact quotation.

    If you are not looking for a specific quote; rather want all of the passages where the Psalms are quoted there are a couple of resources you may have in your library. There may be others, but these are two I have in my library.

    Thank you for your responses. What I am looking for is all the times Jesus quotes the Psalms, and what he quotes. Is there an easy search for this? (Logos 5)

    You could try a Basic search in Footnote text within a Bible that you know cites references for all known quotations. NET Bible is pretty good about doing that. The editors seem to always word it "quotation from Ps XX:YY" when they do, so you could construct a search like this:

    And then page through the results looking for ones that are in the Gospels.

    It might not be exhaustive, if the NET Bible ever varies from that formula for quoting Psalms or if they've skipped some references, but it should get most of them.

    You can't do this same thing as a Bible search (which would allow you to restrict your search to just the NT or just the Gospels) because Bible search can't search within footnotes.
