This is today's freebie from Vyrso is Glenn Packiam's Lucky: How the Kingdom Comes to Unlikely People:

The title sounds corny, but the content is there. Eugene Peterson wrote the Foreword.
I picked it up for the same reasons.
Is there any way of being subscribed to these offers?
do you mean like an rss feeder?
a) I made it a habit to regularly check http://vyrso.com/products/search?q=&unlocked=no&start=&sort=pricelo&pageSize=60 (which is all Vyrso books I don't own sorted by price, thus putting the freebies on top). I believe someone did a macro and an RSS feed on that, don't know if it still works, you'll sure find it on the forum.
b) many of the free books that are free for a day or so - such as the one this thread is about - currently come from publisher David C. Cook. On http://www.dccebooks.com/ you can subscribe to a newsletter for them. The point in doing so would be that you get an e-mail alerting you to the book and to check Vyrso - in some cases books are not available here and one can then choose to get them e.g. at christianbooks.com.
Hope this helps,
Mick

Yet another way to monitor Vyrso's latest free books - assuming you use twitter - is to following this bot (created by, I think, Mark Barnes) which highlights each new release.

I always have checked the page manually. This is great. I'm signed up now.

Peace to you, Allen! *smile* Peace to all! Thanks Allen for the good word yesterday! *smile* Got it free! Today it is $3.07, still a great price for a clever and pleasant book that inspires one to ponder again the Amazing Grace of Our Lord God through Jesus Christ, His Son - Our Saviour!
Very pleased indeed with the book!
I'm also a great Eugene Peterson fan, BTW! *smile*
We're staying at my daughter's condo on Grand Cayman this week and I don't have access to my desktop Logos 5; however, when I poured my eye-opener coffee this morning I opened "Lucky" on my iPad2 and am extremely pleased with it! There it was .... "in the cloud"!!! *smile*
Right now I'm watching the Royal Caribbean Mariner of the Seas dock in George Town harbour out of one of my daughter's picture windows.
The approximately 3800 people will be joining the people of two Carnival Cruise Ships that docked early this morning about 7:00 where almost 10,000 have the right - if they so desire - to come ashore for shopping and many, many "excursion" possibilities! I'm not going down town today (about a 15 -20 minute walk) because of the "press" of people and I AM on vacation (vacations are indeed nice even when one is retired!!!)
I DO find it hilarious in the past when I have been in George Town when the Cruise Ships came in; and hundreds of people crammed into the Hard Rock Cafe, of all places! *smile*
The government of Grand Cayman charges each cruise line so much per passenger, even if they do not disembark! Wow!
