Copying from single-chapter books with a custom copy format

If I create a custom format to copy the text of a verse and that format includes the chapter number, how can I get "Jude 1:3" instead of "Jude Jude:3"?  What do I use for a chapter number that will consistently give me the chapter number even on single-chapter books?

Basically, if a book doesn't support chapter number you can't get it!

But you can fake a style for these books only e.g.

[FullBookName]
<p>
=ForEachVerse
1: [VerseNum] [VerseText]
<p>
=Footer
<p>
