I have XP operating system for PC and cannot use Logos 5. I downloaded Logos 4 base software. I want the starter kit available for 5 so I don't have to buy a new operating system. Is this possible or available?

I realize that it's a pain in the neck and wallet, but you are much better off upgrading your operating system and getting a good base package in Logos 5. My holdover XP machine easily updated to Windows 8 and made Logos 5 a reality on a 5 year old computer. Unless there's a software or hardware limitation to your being tied to XP, L5's performance alone makes it a better way to use Logos.
I'm not sure what package might be available on L4. I'd call the 800 number and maybe one of the reps can fashion a package deal for you.

The resources in the Starter package will all work in Logos 4. The Datasets that are listed for the Starter package will not work under Logos 4. Unless you buy the Logos 4 minimal crossgrade (you have to call sales for this) you will miss some Logos 4 functionality.
As already suggested, the best thing is to have L5, but L4 is very capable. It seems your requirements are pretty basic. It costs nothing to try. If you aren't satisfied, Logos gives you 30 days to as for a full refund.
