There is no import powerpoint spot under the tab add item like the video says.
I don't know which video you are referring to but I have the Import Powerpoint option under "Add Item" - it is near the bottom:
Are you not seeing this?

I can not see it but if I put my mouse down there it lights up and then I can click it and use it.
