Biblical People Reference / Legend

Could someone explain the meaning of the graphics used in Biblical People? Specifically, when a person's name is shown as having 3 little heads instead of one, what does that signify? Are there any other little tidbits of knowledge you can share? I'd really like to find a page for this, but I've come up empty.

I believe when it has multiple heads it's referring to a people group, e.g. Pharisees, as opposed to an individual.

I asked about whether all those Biblical Facts icons were documented anywhere and was told what they all mean, but still there is no central point of documenting them. They should be added to the wiki. I can't find the thread where I asked about this. To the best of my recollection, here they all are:

People Group (e.g., Edomites)

Individual person (male)

Individual person (female)

Deity

City, town, or village

Place or region

Geographical feature (e.g., mountain, river)

Thing or artifact (e.g., sword)

Event

I think I've got them all.

This is fantastic, thank you. Yes, I was referring to people groups. I think I was confused because some people listed I would consider to be people groups... but I'm far from an authority on genealogy.

Are you talking about in the family trees? Can you give an example of one where you think it should be a people group but it's not?

Here, for example, is Abraham's family tree. There is a son named Midian, but there is also a people group descended from him called the Midianites (not shown on this diagram). So your concern might be coming from that practice of naming people groups after a key ancestor.
