I have a Bible question

Not sure where to ask this. Does anyone know off the top of his or her head how long it was between the time that Moses stood on before the burning bush at Mt Sinai and when Israel left Egypt? Did the dialogue with Pharaoh last days? Weeks? Months? More?

That would depend on where the burning bush was geographically located (Midian and thus travel time to Egypt).

And then the time between challenge / punishment between the conversations of Moses/Aaron and Pharoah.

Given traditional locations for Midian, and a minimum of 2 days per challenge, then between 1 and 2 months.

EDIT: I notice there's 'straw-time' gathering 'throughout the land of Egypt'. But that would still fit with the parameters of between 1 and 2 months. One wonders if the Israelites were wandering all over the LOE literally.

Off the 'top of my head' I'd say about 60 years but I don't have any documentation of that. Although Acts says Moses was at least 40 so perhaps 40 years would be more likely.

Midian is in Northwest Arabia, not the Sinai peninsula. So you have the travel time to consider. I think the 1-2 months idea is likely. It is even possible that YHWH appeared to Moses near the time of Hanukkah (approx. 3 months).
