TIP: NRSV & NIV84 inclusion of 'pericopes' in the side-TOC (section headings)

I hadn't noticed this, since I usually keep the TOC for Bibles not-showing (practicing trying to remember where they put the book of Nathan ... before Joel or after?).
But interestingly the NRSV includes the pericopes in its TOC! That is handy when you KNOW where something is but that's not where it was.
So simply clicking on one of the tiny arrows in the TOC, you can use your arrow keys to speed up and down the chapters, scanning the pericopes.
Even better, if you use the OT apocrypha, they're in there too!
I tried some of my other Bibles ... ESV, NET, etc. I haven't found any yet that do this. Probably are some others? [Edited title from next entry.]
Which by the way, I hope NRSV'ers noticed that the Logos ref-tagger works for the OT Apocrypha. Nice.

Thanks for point out the headings in the TOC. I usually have this turned off for my Bibles too but so I had not noticed it either. I just checked some of my Bibles and the NIV84 does show them like the NRSV. This actually would be a nice option to have in all Bibles.

That's interesting about the NIV84. But you're right ....NIV-not-so-good doesn't have them.
But NIV84-Anglicized does (which Logos sells).
Putting on our text-critical hat, we have TWO data-points, and therefore can fully justify a non-debatable conclusion: Bibles from England are intelligently produced!
EDIT: Oh wait, NIV84 was this side of the pond. No matter. An exception that most scholars have long concluded has no merit.

I don't know what a TOC is or the context of what you speak.
Could you give us a screen shot?
But I do know another great English bible is coming to Logos in May.

Ah yes ... the NEB. But key question: is it from England? You're probably thinking of the other DMB who was badly behaved and got kicked off the forum. I just got my new Logos5 a few days ago (about the time I changed my email address).

Changing email address sets forum post count to 0, but Logos can add post count from previous email address.

But they don't. And good for me, since DMB had a pretty bad reputation. I can ask all kinds of questions without looking .... well, like my normal self.
Plus (big plus!!), with that nifty new 'face of shades' image next my nutty comments, people just assume I'm a member of the 'authoritative' group.
(I'm busily reading my NT Wright door-stopper on the resurrection and 'shades'. Only 650 page left till 'shades'.)
