This may not be helpful, Joe, but since my PG searches are very fast, I wonder if many of the problems are related to having multiple versions of Logos installed. I have only a clean install of Logos 4 mac and everything works great (what there is) and is very fast. Just wondering.
That's interesting. I did a couple of timed word searches comparing v3 and v4 last night and depending on the word that I searched on, v4 was anywhere from 3.5 to 9 times faster than v3. I wonder why we are receiving such different results?
I think the problem is actually that my A7 is doing a lot of secret indexing. Watch this video and you can see my logs are downloading and indexing resources, but also notice there is no menu icon indicating that there is indexing.

Logos has not yet responded to my posts, so I can only assume they are aware of the problem and working on a solution.
