For those of you like myself who are running L4 Windows alongside L4 Mac on Fusion, there is an update available. Details are on this page: http://blogs.vmware.com/teamfusion/2009/12/check-for-updates-vmware-fusion-301-now-available.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TeamFusion+%28Team+Fusion%29&utm_content=Google+Reader

I had been running Fusion 2.6, but Parallels made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Now I'm doing a fresh install into Parallels 5. But all that did not have very much to do with your post. That is what happens when you become a forumaholic. [8-|]

I will be interested to know how things go for you (what sort of speed difference you see).
Forumaholic? Yes, I sometimes wonder when people have time to do other things like use Logos Bible Software, etc. I already feel like I spend too much time on here as it is! [;)]
Parallels 5 is definitely faster than Fusion 2. I can't compare with Fusion 3 as I never upgraded. I had previously used Parallels 3, but abandoned it for Fusion following the fiasco that was Parallels 4 Upgrade. I had intended to continue with Fusion 2 until L4 Mac reached parity, but Parallels bombarded me with email offers to upgrade. One of those hit me in a weak moment (for computer gadgets any moment is a weak moment).
Rather than convert the existing Fusion VM, I performed a complete new install of Windows and L4. I did have a few setup problems, primarily convincing Windows that it was connected to the Internet. That was solved when I found the correct setting in the Parallels Preference Panel. I felt that the User Manual was a bit skimpy in that area. The new install of L4 went smoothly overnight after I finally finished installing a quarter-million Windows upgrades to get to XP SP3.
There are some features that I like better than Fusion. Mainly, I think Coherence is better than Unity.

Organization is the key. We well-organized people can do a hundred things at once. Just look at Tom and Philip. They can post 5 messages per second, all on different threads. [:D]

The post quantity tends to go down when you try to make helpful posts instead of fluff. Which is why fluffmeister Philip has more posts than I do.
Do you mean that Phillip's posts are not all helpful, like yours and mine? [8-|]
