I don't know if what the "techies" will need will be in this log. For future reference, please attach logs via the paperclip icon. It is easier to read logs in the console rather than in the browser. It might be helpful for you to make sure you enable logging and post them here. Generally speaking, the most important one is the logos.log. Allow Logos to crash, and grab the logs BEFORE you reopen Logos. If you need help with logging, see my signature line.

The problem was that the file had been accessed by a more recent version of Logos. This shouldn't happen unless you're trying to sync or copy files manually, or unless you try and rollback a Logos update. Have you been using a beta version of Logos and then rolled back?

Program Version: 5.0b SR-2 (5.0.2.0743)
Wiki => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Release_Notes_and_History shows Logos 5.0b SR-2 is the current Logos 5 stable release.

Logos 5.1 Beta releases have a newer database schema than Logos 5.0b SR-2. Wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Troubleshooting#Want_to_downgrade_from_Beta_to_Stable

Likewise curious if had used Logos 5.1 Beta release ?
Or the 4.6c Beta?
The system will let you upgrade from 4.6c Beta to 5.0b Stable (because the new version number is higher), but it won't work. If you're upgrading from a Beta release, you need to upgrade to a Beta release.
In any case, installing the beta should fix the crash. The install link is here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/52967.aspx
