Mark Barnes’ excellent video on reading layouts encouraged me to work on one of my favorite new Logos 4 features—Reading Plans. I discovered a few things I thought others would find helpful.
TIP 1: I was not entirely happy with Logos’ default layout for Bible Reading Plans and desired that the Bible Reading Plan I created would be the one opened. What I discovered is that if I opened my Bible Reading Plan layout FIRST and then clicked on today’s reading on the home page my lay would remain open and go to the correct reading.
TIP 2: If you want to bypass the Home Page Toolbar all together, just save your Bible Reading Plan layout after you click “Mark Read.” This way when you open your reading plan layout you are good to go!
TIP3: A quick way to update your Bible Reading Plan layout is to left mouse click on the gray pencil next to your layouts name, type Ctrl+C to copy the name, left mouse click on the gray pencil next to the current snapshot and type Ctrl+V.
These tips work for none bible reading plans as well. I hope this helps you enjoy your Reading Plans more.
