It depends on how you want to use the tablet. If you only want to view one resource on a tablet, a 7" tablet works wonderfully. The Note 10.1 is nice because the 10.1" screen works great with two resources open side by side.

Also, the hardware in the 10.1 and version of Android running is way better than the hardware and the version of Android in the Tab 2 7".

I have a 10.1 Note and my wife and daughter each have the 10.1 Tab.  Both are wonderful and work well.  However, the Note has a four core processor whereas the Tab has a two core ... the snappier speed of the Note is noticeable.  Also, the Tabs use a rather large (1/4" dia +/-), bulbous, rubber stylus to navigate (unless you want to use your finger) whereas, the Note uses a small Wacom digitizing stylus that they call the "S Pen".  The small size of the nib makes it desirable when navigating apps which have small controls or hot zones.  Here is a brief video about the S Pen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3f3WD0benU.  Personally, I think the extra $$ for the Note was well worth it.

Would love to see Logos support the S Pen in the Android app ... https://logosmobile.uservoice.com/forums/190765-logos-mobile-apps/suggestions/3741624-s-pen-support
