How do I close an open book?
Even my teenagers haven't been able to figure out how to close one of my resources that I accidentally opened. What's the trick?
And where should I have looked for the answer? I have been looking.

You don't actually close a book - you simply open a new one!
Would this work for you or is there a problem with this?

Suppose I have opened several books during a particular study session. I seems I have to tap the back button as many times as I have books open to finally be able to close the program. A "close all" feature would be helpful.

If you are using Ice Cream Sandwich, simply go to the home screen and then using the button to the right which shows all open apps, swipe right on the one you want to close.

Are you talking about closing apps on my phone or closing resources in Logos?

Okay, Lynden, I see what you're talking about. Thanks. Still getting used to this thing. But suppose I do want to keep Logos open but close all open resources? As it is it seems I have to do a lot of unnecessary navigating to get to a fresh screen. Then the next time I open up Logos, all the resources I opened before are still there. I want to be able to close out resources within Logos.

Wow. Logos has not done a very good job of making some basic information readily available. Thanks for the links, Lynden. I'm sure they'll be helpful. But this is something that should be fundamental to the using of the app.

If you want to clear out your open resource history closing the app as Lynden suggested is the best approach on 4.0+ devices. If the app is in the background and inactive for more than 10 minutes Android will clear out the history for you.
If you're jumping around between several resources I use the history panel to switch between them. The history panel is accesible in the side panel by selecting the magnifying icon and swiping to the right (multiple times).
The back button is useful if you accidentally open the wrong resource or if you were just looking up secondary content and want to get back to the previous resource and location.
Protip: A quick way to open the side panel to the history is to long press on the back button while in the read view. This will open the side panel directly to the specific resource history contents. Press the "< History" sub-header to view your recent local history of resources.

Because I have Multi-View enabled, long pressing on the "Back" button brings up my Multi-View menu. Oh well, guess I gotta get to the history the long way.
